buffalo new york
Easterns was last weekend! We won! : ) Very Awesome. I will post pictures soon, however, I will have to say that Buffalo is not the most inspiring place. Contemplated photographing the strip mall and the shopping center and putting a caption in about how its worthless to visit buffalo...but alas I didn't. Anyway, new pics will be up shortly!!

In May 2003, I went on a birthright trip to Israel which made it very easy for me to see many places in 10 days. I posted pics from that trip before, here are the rest of the pithy ones. This is a famous skyline and probably when I took this picture one of the first times I saw it. I didnt know then that I would be back to live in Jerusalem for 2 months. May 2003

You can see inside of that cow! In fact, I think agricultural students at the University of Maryland put their hands in the window. I however, was a student of History, so I never had that oppuritunity. Not many semi-urban schools have farms on their campuses. What does that say about UMCP compared to Miami ; )?? August 2002.

Tammy and I at the JCC of Greater Washington's outdoor pool....I taught swimming there for a very long time. I had some nice tan summers. That was in August of 2002 while I was in Summer school/starting school at the University of Maryland. Black and white makes everything nice.

A fallen, construction worker, oh oh, I mean Noble Soldier! Excuse the error, was misled by the shoes for a moment. Miami University, Oxford, Ohio 2002. Outside of my Havighurst Hall residence one fine spring day was a bit of a rennaissance battle...I of course photographed it diligently as it is not every day that we witness battles from days of old outside of our DORMS!

Old East Berlin, other side of the road from the East Side Gallery. I visited Germany for all of January of 2003 in order to study the European Union and German Politics on a University of Maryland study abroad program. We spent a week in Berlin. By the Ostbanhoff after the wall came down, many artists came and painted images of peace, hope, etc on a peace of the wall which I thought was phenomenal, so I photographed it like crazy. Anyway, consider this a first installment of the MANY photos I took of my month in Germany.

Yafo, the oldest part of Tel Aviv, well not part of Tel Aviv, old city next to it. The immigrating Jews founded Tel Aviv because they ran out of places for them to live in Yafo. I was there this summer for a longer time, I went to the Souk and then to the Yafo beach, but did not take many pictures.

Har Hertzl! Creating sacred spaces. The sky looks beige not because of a photography error, but because we were in a little sandstorm. Sands from the Saudi and Jordanian Deserts RAINED down on us in big water droplets...our white shirts were brown not to mention everything around us.

More Jewish quarter..when the Israelis gained the Old City in the Six Day War, the Jewish quarter had been dissemated by the Jordanians. The Israelis rehabilitated it which is why it seems to sparkle so much, freshly cleaned..

ACC Championships at the University of Maryland in College Park, 2004, UMD beats Duke after a rough season. Finally College Park kids get a chance to riot, and little riot we do. The pics can tell the story for me. Everyone congregated on the lawn in Frat Row, but the Police knew we'd go there, so they already were set up in riot gear to push everyone away. Of course, instead of going back to our respective houses, dorms, and apartments, everyone clogged the streets and blocked traffic for a couple hours.
